Federal Work Study Positions Spring 2009

Positions may be filled by students who have successfully completed their FAFSA form and have received their financial aid award letter indicating that they are eligible for federal work study.  The positions listed below fall into one of two pay categories: 

LEVEL 1:         $7.50-$9.00

LEVEL 2:        $9.40- $11.00

 

The pay rate within that range is determined by the supervisor; however, over the course of each semester, the student may not earn more than the amount determined by their financial aid eligibility.

Description of job duties: Duties include answering telephone calls at main college switchboard with multi-line phone system and transferring calls to appropriate department; assist and greet students, staff, and visitors at the front desk and lobby area of Administration building; provide directions & general college information regarding campus activities & services; and assist with general office duties. Candidate should possess excellent communication skills, excellent customer service skills, and good organizational skills, work independently, and be self directed. Must have good appearance, attitude, and personality.  Candidate must be comfortable with a computer and typing and be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).  Must be punctual and reliable. Description of job duties:  Receptionist/Greeter:  Welcome and greet students who visit the Learning Center for tutoring; assist and monitor students logging in/out of TutorTrac; assist students with checking in/out books and videos; may assist with special projects as needed. Description of job duties: Assistant needed to perform a variety of duties for Administrative Secretary in Wellness Division and Residential Faculty in Dietetic
Technology & Massage Therapy.  Tasks include assisting Administrative
Secretary in her day-to-day organization of the Wellness Division and Fitness
Center
, including gathering instructor information, keeping track of information,
running errands and general office duties.  Hours will also be spent assisting
Dietetic Technology & Massage Therapy Faculty with program support, such
